How to Find and Install Acer Drivers for Your Device

Step 1: Identify Your Device

By Serial Number (SNID)

Input your device's unique serial number SNID into Acer's support page to identify your device and find compatible drivers.

By Model Number

Alternatively, you can enter your device's model number to locate the correct drivers.

Step 2: Run Intel Driver Update Software

If possible, run the Intel Driver Update Software. This tool may automatically detect and install necessary drivers.

Step 3: Check Device Manager

If unknown devices remain in your Device Manager after installing Windows 10 64-bit Education version, follow these steps:

  1. Locate your device in Device Manager.
  2. Right-click on the unknown device and select "Properties."
  3. Navigate to the "Details" tab and check the "Device Instance Path" under "Property."
  4. The value under "ACPI" corresponds to the missing driver.

For Devices Without W7 32-bit Drivers

If no W7 32-bit driver is available for your device, you can switch to W7 64-bit and install this hotfix.

Step 4: Download and Install ACPI Driver

Download the ACPI Driver Hotfix for Windows 7 64-bit from Microsoft's website.

Double-click on the downloaded file to run the installer.

Step 5: Check for Compatibility

The ACPI driver is compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11 supporting 6th Generation Intel Core Processor Family Sky.

Note:

If you encounter a "TPM module which does not have a driver" error, refer to the corresponding Microsoft support page for guidance.
