June 6, 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II. To commemorate this historic event, the popular online game War Thunder has released a new single-player battle scenario called "Operation Overlord."

"Operation Overlord" Event Details

The "Operation Overlord" event will be available in War Thunder from June 6. Players will be able to participate in a single-player battle scenario inspired by the historical invasion, facing off against German forces in a variety of vehicles and aircraft.

To participate in the event, players must complete the following task:

• Destroy 10 German vehicles over any number of battles.
• Frags only count if the player gets the final hit.
