F1 Sprint Events Announced for 2024 Season

Six Venues to Host Exciting Race Format

Formula 1 has unveiled the six venues that will host F1 Sprint events during the 2024 season. This thrilling format, introduced in 2021, provides additional excitement and action to the weekend schedule.

The F1 Sprint is a short race held on Saturday afternoons, determining the grid for the main Grand Prix race on Sunday. It consists of approximately 100 kilometers and typically lasts around 30 minutes, offering a unique challenge for drivers and teams.

The following six circuits have been selected to host F1 Sprint events in 2024:

  • Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Imola, Italy
  • Canadian Grand Prix, Montreal, Canada
  • Austrian Grand Prix, Spielberg, Austria
  • Belgian Grand Prix, Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
  • Qatar Grand Prix, Losail, Qatar
  • United States Grand Prix, Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas

The F1 Sprint events have proven popular with both fans and drivers, adding an extra layer of competition to the weekend. The reduced distance and shorter lap times provide intense racing, often leading to unexpected results.
